4 Copas is a
proud producer of the finest spirit in the world – Tequila.
Three generations of proudly working and caring for our land has
translated into the same love for our tequila. Not having lost
touch with our traditional roots, our modern vision of working the
land responsibly has been combined with careful additions of new
technology that increase the tasting experience. Unlike other
spirits that use grains, sugar or potatoes, which are harvested once
a year, tequila uses the agave, which takes between 8-12 years to
mature and ripen before it is ready for harvest. Therefore,
our anejo was made from agaves planted almost 15 years ago.
This also means that we have proven that our fields and products
have been free of synthetic chemical inputs for this entire time to
receive our organic certification. 4 Copas Tequila 100% Agave
and Certified Organic.
4 Copas Agave
Nectar is made with 100% organic blue agave top quality plants, aged
to perfection, employing first rate farming & harvesting methods
including testing the plants in the fields for the ideal sugar
levels before they are about to flower and die, employing all
natural processes. Agave is not cooked and retains its natural
virtues based on high velocity centrifugal straining of juices 4
Copas agave nectar is certified organic and in the process of
obtaining a Kosher certification.
Notable for
its fresh, cooked-agave taste. After it is distilled, Blanco
is immediately brought to the bottling line receiving tanks where
it is dissolved in de-mineralized water and is then promptly
filtered and bottled. This Blanco is not aged in La Quemada
white oak barrels and because of this it offers tequila drinkers a
natural personality and taste. Wonderful, either sipped
straight for its invigorating spirit or mixing it to produce such
drinks as a Classic Margarita or the popular Tequila Sunrise.
This "rested"
tequila and is aged for a minimum of 60 days in white oak barrels.
The barrels give it a golden color and soften its taste by imbuing
it with a light wooden accent. During the aging phase, the
lighting, temperature and moisture conditions inside the warehouse
are strictly controlled and monitored in order to produce this
premium, authentic tequila. This Reposado can be enjoyed
simply by itself in the festive tequila tradition or mixed to make
such drinks as a Tamarind Margarita or a Mexican Submarine.
Anejo, an aged
tequila and is, unequivocally, the king of tequila. It rests
in white oak barrels for a minimum of one year and sometimes to five
years. During this time, the Anejo is impregnated with the
oak properties, which leaves its color dark amber and confers a
medium wooden flavor, thereby becoming a proud competitor in valued
spirits, like fine cognac, in international markets. If you
prefer aged spirits, then you will deeply appreciate the expertise
and dedication required to make exceptional tequila such as this 4
Copas Anejo.
